Morongo Basin Community Health Center has partnered with the County of San Bernardino to administer COVID-19 testing to the community.
Tests will be administered at the 29 Palms and Yucca Valley health centers, and at other designated locations via the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU). Please see the schedule on this page for exact locations and times.
Please call 760-820-2614 to make an appointment to be tested between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Participants remain in their vehicle while staff process intake-data and collect the self-administered swab.
UPDATE: TESTING HOURS HAVE BEEN EXPANDED. AN APPOINTMENT IS REQUIRED FOR TESTS BETWEEN 9 A.M. AND 12 P.M. TESTING WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT MAY BE AVAILABLE ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS AFTER 12:30 P.M.
You will be asked for your medical insurance information so that the insurance company can be billed directly. No co-pay or share-of-cost will be collected. All insurances are accepted. If you are uninsured, you will still be tested.
Flu shots are also available. No other medical care will be provided at the test site.
Results of the test will be provided within 48-72 hours. Health Center patients may view the results via their health center patient portal. All others should call LabCorp for results. 800-859-7001, choose prompt #1. Your account number is the telephone you gave when registering for the test. Participants who have a possitive test response will receive a follow up call from health center staff. Note, if LabCorp does not have your data on file, please call 760-820-2614 for assistance.
We want to get as many San Bernardino residents tested for COVID as possible," said Jackie Combs, CEO. "It is our goal to get San Bernardino downgraded to the less restrictive "red tier." Currently, San Bernardino County is designated in the more restrictive "purple tier" by the State of California, meaning more businesses are closed.
