COMMUNITY RESOURCES
Community Health Needs Assessment
The Morongo Basin Healthcare District commissioned the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy to conduct the first-of-its-kind area community health needs assessment to better identify how to improve the health and wellness of our community. This community resource document can be viewed here:
Believing that healthy behaviors are important to residents of all ages for quality of life, the Morongo Basin Healthcare District seeks to address health and wellness issues for children, adolescents, parents, adults, and seniors in realizing its mission to improve the health and wellness of the Morongo Basin.
In fact, it’s our mission statement: “The Morongo Basin Healthcare District seeks to improve the health and wellness of the communities we serve.”
A healthy Morongo Basin means that all members of the community have access to basic healthcare resources, health education and activities related to nutrition and food choice, physical activities and social support for the family.
Implementing that vision and encouraging healthy behaviors means improving access to ambulatory care services such as primary medicine for adults and children, preventive medicine, and dental care. Through the services of the Morongo Basin Community Health Centers, patients are offered access to a growing list of specialty services.

Morongo Basin Healthcare District is dedicated to helping you or your child stop vaping. Valuable information and resources are provided on this page, including help to quit vaping, and resources on how to talk with your child about the dangers of vaping.
You can play a significant role in protecting your child from the dangers of vaping and nicotine dependence. Maintain an open line of communication with your child and use the tips and suggestions on this page as a framework for having a productive conversation.
E-cigarette use poses a significant and avoidable health risk to young people in the United States. Besides increasing the possibility of addiction and long-term harm to brain development and respiratory health, e-cigarette use is associated with the use of other tobacco products that can do even more damage to the body. Even breathing e-cigarette aerosol that someone else has exhaled poses potential health risks.
Kick It California is a one-on-one coaching program that uses proven methods to help you or a loved one quit vaping. They provide free structure, support, and strategies to fit your life. KICK IT CALIFORNIA
With the Federal Drug Administration’s recent announcement about teen vaping reaching epidemic levels, the fight against nicotine and tobacco has become even more vital. The resource below can offer tools to not only talk to kids about the danger of tobacco but to help them quit if they have already become addicted. TALK TO YOUR KIDS
