DESCRIPTION:The Morongo Basin Healthcare District\, in partnership with the City of Twentynine Palms\, is hosting a FREE Community Health & Resource Fair\, Saturday\, October 14\, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Freedom Plaza\, 6547 Freedom Way in downtown 29 Palms. The event will be held during the weekly Farmers’ Market and will take place inside the Freedom Plaza gymnasium. \nThe fair will include free health screenings such as A1C\, blood pressure\, body mass index\, and glucose. Flu vaccinations will be available. Community vendors will be on-hand providing resources and information. The event will feature a cooking demonstration utilizing foods available at the Farmers’ Market and an interactive healthy eating lecture.
